Foundation

IMS Belgium was founded in 1944. Today we are part of the international JACQUET METALS Group, one of the largest steel trading companies in Europe.

JACQUET METALS group’s turnover amounted to €2.2 billion in 2023, proving that we can handle orders of all sizes.

Employees

We are a growing company. Today, 3,000 employees work for the companies of the JACQUET METALS group in Europe.

1944

Foundation of “Aciers Sidero Staal”.

2010

The company joins the German SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Group.

2015

13 S+B sites, including the Dutch and Belgian sites, are taken over by the IMS group (France), with the Belgian site becoming IMS Belgium.
